Meet the Team
The founding team behind the ANU Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Society.
We’re students, builders, researchers, creatives - all united by a passion for AI.

Vice President
Harold Gao
AI is a field that has interested the scientific community for decades. It can be embedded into autonomous robots used to save children from a burning hospital, but it is also capable of producing fallacious results critical to the security of the modern digital world. As a club in Australia's national university, I envision AIMSoc to establish a community of passionate and responsible students, to provide a means for students to deliver research and become professionals in the AI and ML industry.

Treasurer
Maxim Nikiforov
I want to leave something behind when I’ve moved on in my career. Something big.
I, and the whole team, have very big dreams for AIMSoc. As I told one Accenture partner, there will come a time when fifty percent of their grads will be alumni of the ANU Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Society. Maybe two or twenty years, I pray, from now.”

Director, Events
Adith Iyer
For me, this society has the potential to be something truly lasting and meaningful.
I want to build a community that doesn't just discuss technology but actively shapes it, providing unparalleled support for students while fostering a synergistic relationship between emerging talent and leading employers.

Director, Marketing
Harkirat Singh Sandhu
My vision for AIMSoc is to build something far bigger than just another club at ANU.
I want to help create a platform that truly integrates talent, ambition and passion for AI and ML. Applying it to something with real long-term impact and leaving behind an organisation that elevates ANU’s AI community.

Secretary & Public Officer
Krishna Karthik
As a student majoring in physics and computer science at ANU, my interests lie in theoretical and applied physics, AI, and High Performance Computing.
I want to foster a society to show students that AI and ML are not just for computing students - it's a tool that should be used across all disciplines.
